Do I need to “power down” the printer when it’s not in use?

A.

We recommend that you keep your printer "powered on" as much as possible. Through our "Software as a Service" model, Multicard’s Card@Once is able to perform network diagnostics and deploy enhancements that accommodate your program and prevent downtime. The printer must be available and connected to the network to receive these updates.

Does the printer need to be cleaned?

A.

Dust and particles that accumulate inside your printer can impact image quality and damage the print head. Routine cleaning after every 1,000 cards is required to maintain your warranty and ensure maximum performance. Automatic, onscreen prompts and ready-to-use cleaning kits make it easy and convenient to keep your printer operating at its best.

How should card stock be handled?

A.

Substances commonly found on your hands, such as lotions and natural oils, can impair printing and affect the quality of the image. Hold the card by its outer edges, avoiding contact with its surface.

Does my PIN Pad work on more than one computer?

A.

Your PIN Pad has a tamper resistant sensor and should not be used on multiple computers. Remove the PIN Pad only when your computer is "powered down" to avoid triggering the tamper-resistant sensor. If you need to purchase additional PIN Pads, please contact us at 888-383-6083 ext. 118.
